I love to crochet and I am looking for some fun but easy ones to do. I have tried all the major yarn companies web sites: Redheart, bernat, lionbrand, peaches and creme, and caron. I would love some other sites.

Need Help Finding Crochet patterns!?
I’m looking for some good crochet baby hat books. I would like some patterns that are like berries and watermelons and overall stinking cute hats. I’m trying to find books on them that I can purchase but haven’t’ been able to find anything? Any crocheters out there that can help me?

Where can I get a pattern for a crochet baby hat using Vanessa’s choice yarn?
The Lion Brand website (Lion makes Vanessa’s Choice) does not show any baby hats using this yarn. I need an actual pattern. Most patterns for baby hats use baby-weight yarn. I made a baby sweater using Vanessa’s Choice and have yarn left over, which I’d like to use for a hat.

Looking for a crochet pattern for a baby hat??
I am looking for a pattern to make a baby hat. I’m looking to a make a hat similar to one I just bought for my daughter. I can’t tell if its very fine cotton yarn or crochet thread. But its almost doily-like and was probably done with a steel crochet hook for thread crocheting instead of the big ones for regular yarn crocheting. Any patterns whatsoever would be helpful (free patterns would be great!!)
Ok, so I don’t want just the name of the pattern, I would like to know where I can FIND the pattern. Telling me the name doesn’t help me any.

These hats are not very common these days (thread crochet, that is). You might try looking for antique or vintage patterns. The antique pattern library (www.antiquepatternlibrary.org) has a large number of old needlework books for you to browse.

Or, you can look for a round doily pattern to use for the back of the cap and improvise to make the sides and top as a flat rectangle in a nice pattern, with a bit of ruffle for the front edge. Use the hat you bought as a model. This would only be possible if you felt comfortable designing your own.
