We have tried in Vain to contact the owner of the Pattern for this Hat, they did it out for FREE but due to abuse by people then charging for it they withdrew the pattern and permission to post it.

The owner Sophia Kessinger who appears to an extremly talented young lady has her own site but the hat pattern is available at  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/swirls-cap.

There is now a charge of $5 which is donated to a school for music. Sophia Kessinger is also a talented musician and we do recommend a visit to Sophies blog “yarnovermanhattan”

How to Make a PomPom Tutorial

I use a very simple method to make pompom toppers for my hats. Using this method is quick and effective though I do recommend use of a pompom maker tool if you need more durability.

This tutorial is specifically for the Crochet Baby PomPom Hat Pattern.

Using Bernat Natural Felting Wool cut a 12″ length of yarn. Set to side.

With working yarn from skein, wrap yarn around palm 30 times. Cut yarn.

Slide yarn off of hand but keep in wrapped state. Use 12″ length of yarn to tie a knot around the center of the wound yarn. Secure knot by flipping pompom over and tying again.

Snip the looped ends of yarn to open up the pompom (or keep them loopy for a fun look!).

Sew pompom to hat with ends of yarn that created knot.
